About Cebu Port Authority
The Cebu Port Authority (CPA) was created through Republic Act No. 7621, signed on June 26, 1992. Its primary role is to specifically administer all ports located in Cebu Province, having effectively separated these ports from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) system. CPA officially began its operations and oversight of all Cebu ports on January 1, 1996.
CPA's mandate includes integrating and coordinating the planning, development, construction, and operations of port facilities within its territorial jurisdiction. It also aims to enhance the flow of international and domestic commerce and promote regional development by providing support services to sustain the growth of export and other priority industries in the region. The Authority offers services such as Notice of Arrival/Application for Berth and a One-Stop Shop for Crew Change.
