About

About Medellin

Medellin is at the northern tip of Cebu island, and its five sailings run 01:30 to 20:30 on the 55-minute crossing to Santa Fe on Bantayan Island, operated by Cebu Port Authority. The half-past-one departure exists because Bantayan's fishing boats and market traffic move overnight. Bantayan is a flat coral island known for its beaches and for supplying a large share of Cebu's eggs and dried fish; the ferry carries both tourists and produce, sometimes on the same sailing. The port is at Maya, a few kilometres from Medellin town itself, so onward transport needs to be arranged rather than assumed.
