About the Tronchetto Mercato – Tronchetto A crossing

Tronchetto is an artificial island reclaimed in the 1960s to hold Venice's cars, and it is big enough to need its own internal ferry. One hundred and ten sailings run between its two pontoons, ninety-nine of them every day.
