Ferries from Termini Imerese

This port works at night. Both departures leave after midnight — 02:30 for Civitavecchia on Tuesday through Friday and Sunday, 01:30 for Naples on Saturdays — while everything arriving does so in daylight, at 09:00, 13:30 or 21:00.

Grandi Navi Veloci operates all four legs, and every entry in the current record falls between 2 and 30 August. Five sailings a week to Civitavecchia and a single Saturday run to Naples is the whole outbound service.

Termini Imerese lies about 36 kilometres east of Palermo, and using it rather than the city port is a deliberate choice by the operator: a smaller harbour with a motorway beside it and none of Palermo's competition for berths. The town takes its name from the Roman baths at Thermae Himeraeae, whose thermal springs are still in use — an older reason for the same site.
