About
About Sok Kwu Wan Pier No. 2 at Lamma Island
Sok Kwu Wan is the smaller of Lamma Island's two ferry villages, connected to Central Pier 4 by 35 sailings running 06:40 to 23:30 on a crossing of about forty minutes. The village is known for the seafood restaurants built out over the water at the head of the bay, and a good share of the evening traffic is people coming for dinner — which is why the last boat is so late. Lamma has no cars at all. Most walkers arrive at the larger village of Yung Shue Wan, cross the island on the footpath over the ridge, and leave from here, so the two piers work as the ends of a single walking route. The bay is overlooked by the three chimneys of Lamma Power Station, visible from the deck for most of the crossing and a useful landmark for locating the island from the Hong Kong side.
