About
About Rostock
Gedser in Denmark and Trelleborg in Sweden are the two destinations served from Rostock, a major ferry port in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region of Germany. Three operators provide services on these Baltic Sea routes. A total of four routes connect this German port with Scandinavia.
Rostock Ferry Operators
Scandlines operates the crossing to Gedser. This is the shortest route from the port, with a journey time of around two hours. The other two operators, Stena Line and TT-Line, both sail to Trelleborg in Sweden. These crossings are longer, taking approximately six hours to complete.
Passengers arriving or departing will find the port located on the Warnow river, with direct access to the A19 autobahn. All three companies handle a mix of passenger, car, and freight traffic on their vessels. The presence of Stena Line, TT-Line, and Scandlines makes this a significant connection point between Germany and Scandinavia.
