Ferries from Pitcairn

Pitcairn is a British Overseas Territory in the South Pacific and has no airstrip, so every arrival comes by sea. The only scheduled passenger link runs to Mangareva in the Gambier Islands, the administrative centre of French Polynesia - an international crossing between British and French territory, not a domestic one.

The service is run by the Pitcairn Government's own supply vessel rather than by a commercial ferry operator, and the passage takes roughly 48 hours. Sailings are infrequent and built around the island's resupply cycle, so they are planned months ahead rather than booked like a timetabled ferry.
