About

About Østre Randøya

Østre Randøya's two calls are among the shortest on the Agder coast: Kongshavn 0.6 nautical miles away at 7 minutes, and the island's own second landing at Skippergada 0.2 nautical miles off, 4 minutes round the shore.

Eight sailings a week run on each leg, from 06:05 to 16:22, under two day patterns — one covering Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the other the working week.

Randøya lies in the Kristiansand archipelago and carried a coastal artillery fort from 1898 until the 1990s; the gun emplacements and tunnels are still there, now part of a nature reserve. Agder Kollektivtrafikk runs the boats. Nothing sails after half past four, which for an island of summer houses and a fort is exactly the shape you would expect.
