Ferries from Olib

Every day of the week has its own departure time at Olib. Sunday takes 10:40 and again 21:20; Wednesday 12:55; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday share 15:55; Friday goes at 18:55. Eight arrivals a week, all of them 20 minutes from Silba on the vessel Proversa.

A timetable this fragmented is what happens when a boat's week is built around other islands' needs and Olib is fitted in wherever the circuit allows. Sunday is the only day with two calls, and the 21:20 is the single sailing after dark.

Olib is one of the smaller inhabited islands of the Zadar archipelago, with a permanent population that empties further every winter and a long history of emigration to the mainland and abroad. Neighbouring Silba, its connection point, bans cars outright in summer — so this 20-minute link joins two islands that both expect to be crossed on foot.
