Both of Måneset's legs are 30 minutes: Rørvik at 7.6 nautical miles, Tennfjordvågen at 6.2. Ten sailings a week on each of the busier ones, from 13:50 to 20:45 on two day patterns.

Nothing here runs in the morning. The first boat is at ten to two in the afternoon and the last at quarter to nine at night.

Måneset is on the mainland shore of Nærøysund in northern Trøndelag, facing the island of Vikna across the sound. Rørvik, the destination, is the district's town and its coastal-route port.
