Flørli's two calls are 20 minutes and five: Håheller 2.9 nautical miles east, Kalleli 1.2 miles west. Thirteen sailings a week on each leg, first boat 06:35, last 18:45, across three day patterns until the end of August.

An early start like that on a fjord with no road is not for visitors — it is for the people who live and work along the water.

Flørli has no road connection at all. It was built as a hydropower station in the 1910s, with a wooden staircase of 4,444 steps running up beside the penstock pipes to the lake above — the longest wooden stairway in the world, and now the reason most passengers get off here. The power station closed in 1999; the village, the pipes and the staircase remain, reachable only by this boat.
