Ferries from Evjua Skibladnerbrygga

Evjua sits between the longest leg on Mjøsa and one of the shortest connections to a town. Eidsvoll is 20 nautical miles south — 125 minutes down, 140 back — while Hamar is 8.9 miles at 65 to 70 minutes.

Each runs twice a week. The southbound Eidsvoll departure is at 12:20 and the northbound at 14:40; Hamar is served at 11:15 and 16:45.

Fifteen minutes' difference between the two directions on a two-hour sailing is the current in the lake's southern narrows, where Mjøsa drains into the Vorma. Evjua is a small landing on the Toten shore with a lakeside park behind it; the pier is a call rather than a destination, which is why the boat comes twice a week and stays only long enough to load.
