Ferries from Elgå brygge

Elgå's working connection is Revlingen, 3.4 nautical miles and 30 minutes away, with ten sailings a week under three separate day patterns. A second route to Buvika is registered at 6.8 miles but carries no departure times at all.

Departures run between 12:00 and 14:15 — an early-afternoon service on a lake where nothing sails in the morning from this pier and nothing after teatime.

Femunden is Norway's third-largest lake, lying along the Swedish border at over 660 metres above sea level, and Elgå is one of the few settlements on its eastern shore. It is also a centre of South Sámi reindeer herding, with the community's own herding district running east into the mountains. A boat that runs three days a week for ten weeks of the year is what a shoreline with no road connection gets.
