About
About Camaret
Camaret is a summer port. Eight routes touch it on paper and none of them survive September: the Brest sailings stop on 6 September, the Ouessant ones on the 10th, and after that the timetable shows no scheduled departure from here at all.
What runs while it runs
Sixteen departures, all of them worked by Petrel. Three go back to Brest in the evening (18.00–18.45, 30–45 minutes), three out to Ouessant in the morning (08.15–09.00, 65–90 minutes). Molène gets a single 08.25 crossing on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4 and 20 August. Sein gets one at 09.40, Sundays only, 9 August to 6 September.
A day-trip harbour
The pattern is unmistakable: out in the morning, back in the early evening, one ship doing all of it. Camaret is not a way of reaching the islands to stay — for that the year-round ports are Le Conquet and Brest to the north, Audierne for Sein.
