About
About Aspond
Aspond's two calls are four and seven minutes: Fagerstrand on the mainland at half a nautical mile, Håøya at 1.5 miles. Ten sailings a week on the Fagerstrand leg, nine to Håøya, between 10:55 and 18:49.
Three separate day patterns cover the service, which for a route with ten sailings means most days have their own times. The season runs to the first weekend of October.
The island lies in the narrows of the inner Oslofjord off Nesodden, one of a cluster of small wooded islands that Oslo's summer traffic uses and almost nobody lives on year-round. Ruter runs the boats as part of the city's public transport network, so an ordinary travel pass carries you across — a detail that turns a boat trip into a bus ride with better views.
