Stavsnäs Båttaxi Schedules 2026

Stavsnäs Båttaxi is a water taxi first and a scheduled operator second, and both halves show up in the timetable. It works the Stockholm archipelago out of Stavsnäs, running on demand around the clock alongside a set of named seasonal lines.

Four lines under one name

The scheduled services are branded SkärgårdsExpressen and split into four: the Sandhamn line, the Nämdö line, the Runmarö line and the Bullerö line. They are not a network in the usual sense — each runs its own timetable out to its own group of islands, published separately as summer and autumn documents rather than as one annual book. The Bullerö line’s season starts on 1 May.

Thirty minutes out, then five minutes at a time

The backbone is Stavsnäs Vinterhamn to Sandhamn, 30 minutes, with 6 departures out and 7 back. Once you are out there the distances collapse: Sandhamn to Telegrafholmen, Telegrafholmen to Lökholmen, and Lökholmen to Trouville are each five minutes. The southern branch is longer — Stavsnäs to Idöborg at 20 minutes, then Idöborg to Bullerö at 10.

The quays are the settlements

Telegrafholmen, Lökholmen and Trouville are not towns with ferry terminals attached. They are small islands and jetties where the boat calls because someone is there, which is why three consecutive legs can each take five minutes and still be separate scheduled services. On this kind of network the useful question is not how long the crossing takes but whether the boat is calling that day.

Guided trips out to the seal colony

The company also runs themed cruises, including guided archipelago trips with the naturalist Henrik Waldenström. The route heads into Nämdöskärgården National Park and out to Huvudskär, passing the seal colony at Själberget where conditions allow, with grey seal, white-tailed eagle, shelduck, eider and long-tailed duck named as the species to look for. The operator states the course is improvised on the day rather than fixed.

Taxi, line, charter

Three products share the same boats: the on-demand båttaxi, the scheduled SkärgårdsExpressen lines, and charter for private and corporate events. That mix is why the scheduled departures here are counted in single figures per route rather than dozens — the fleet spends much of its time off-timetable, and a line runs when there is a season to run it in.
