Setonaikai Kisen is the ferry company of the Seto Inland Sea around Hiroshima. Its main artery is Hiroshima and Kure to Matsuyama, served two ways — a fast Linear Jet and a slower Cruise Ferry — and around it sits a web of shorter links: Hiroshima to Miyajima, Hiroshima and Kure to Etajima, Miyajima to Kure on the Blue Line, and Hiroshima to Onomichi on the island-hopping Sea Spica.
A new ship and a fare rise
The new Linear Jet AIVINT entered service on 24 May 2026. Less welcome for passengers: fares on the Hiroshima/Kure–Matsuyama Linear Jet and Cruise Ferry rise from 1 September 2026, and the company has separately announced reduced ferry sailings because of high fuel costs. Both are current, both are on the front page.
Practical touches
