About Movia
Movia is the public transport authority for Copenhagen and eastern Denmark, and it runs the city's harbour buses (havnebus) — waterborne public transport threading the length of Copenhagen Harbour. One transit ticket covers the boats, the buses, the metro and the trains alike.
Along Copenhagen Harbour
The harbour bus lines run up and down the harbour between Refshaleøen and Teglholmen, calling at landmark stops including Nyhavn, the Opera House, the Royal Library "Black Diamond" and Islands Brygge, with a northern extension to Orientkaj. They serve commuters and double as one of the best ways to see the waterfront.
Electric fleet and fares
Since 2020 the harbour buses have been an all-electric fleet of battery boats built by Damen, charged overnight and topped up at the quays. The service, which began in 2000, is fully integrated into the regional fare system; fares are in Danish kroner on the standard transit ticket.
