About

About Maistros

Maistros is a small Greek passenger boat working short crossings in the southern Cyclades, in the Aegean islands of Greece. Named after the maïstros, the north-west summer wind, it is a local island-hopping vessel rather than a big car-ferry line.

Around Santorini and Anafi

The boat links the cluster of islands around Santorini (Thira), including short runs to Ios, Sikinos, Folegandros and Anafi to the east. These are quick inter-island hops that connect the smaller southern Cyclades with the region's main hub at Santorini.

A small local boat

Maistros is a compact passenger vessel of around 26 metres, carrying foot passengers on seasonal Aegean crossings. As with many small Greek island boats, it has no booking website of its own; tickets are arranged locally, and fares are in euros.
