About

About Hong Kong & Kowloon Ferry

Hong Kong & Kowloon Ferry (HKKF, 港九小輪) is a Hong Kong outlying-island ferry operator, the lifeline for the car-free islands of Lamma and Peng Chau. Incorporated in 1998, it is a distinct company from the historic Hongkong & Yaumati Ferry.

To Lamma and Peng Chau

From the Central piers, HKKF sails to both of Lamma Island's villages — Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan — and to Peng Chau, with a further link on to Hei Ling Chau. These are the primary public-transport connections for islands with no cars.

Fleet and fares

The fleet, largely built by Hong Kong's Cheoy Lee Shipyard, mixes double-decker ferries with high-speed catamarans such as Sea Success and Sea Sparkle. Fares are in Hong Kong dollars, paid by Octopus, with monthly, student and multi-ride tickets for regular island commuters.
