About Eckerö Line
Eckerö Line runs the ferry across the Gulf of Finland between Helsinki and Tallinn. Part of the Åland-based Eckerö Group, it took its current name in 1995 and is well known for its tax-free day cruises as well as regular car-and-passenger crossings.
Helsinki to Tallinn
Its single passenger route links Helsinki's West Terminal with Tallinn's A-Terminal aboard the cruise-ferry MS Finlandia, a crossing of a little over two hours popular with both travellers and day-trippers. A separate cargo ship, MS Finbo Cargo, runs the Vuosaari–Muuga freight link.
Fleet and fares
The MS Finlandia (2001) carries around 2,000 passengers and 600 cars, with restaurants, cabins and extensive tax-free shopping; it is due a 2026 refit to become a partly battery-electric ship. Fares are in euros. (The group's sister line, Eckerö Linjen, runs the separate Grisslehamn–Eckerö route across the Sea of Åland.)
