About
About Eckerö Line
Eckerö Line runs the Helsinki–Tallinn crossing of the Gulf of Finland aboard M/S Finlandia, carrying day-trippers, cars and freight between Finland and Estonia.
The shop is the business
Look at what the site actually sells and the route's economics become obvious. Alongside the timetable sits a pre-order shop of unusual depth: spirits by category — cognac, whisky, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, akvavit — plus beer, cider, long drinks, wine by colour and by the bag-in-box, sparkling wine and champagne, sold in multipacks up to 24 at a time. You order before sailing and collect on board. The alcohol duty gap between Finland and Estonia is what fills these ships, and the company does not pretend otherwise.
On board
Buffet Eckerö, a bistro and café, the Satama Lounge, Horizon Seats, bars, cabins and a conference centre. Discounts run through the Finnish S-Etukortti loyalty card.
Ways to travel
Point-to-point crossings, cruises that turn around without disembarking, hotel packages at either end, car packages, ticket books for repeat travellers and gift vouchers. The site runs in Finnish, Swedish, Estonian and English.
