Dentur Avrasya Schedules 2026

Dentur Avrasya traces itself back to the caïque boatmen of the Bosphorus. Its own history begins with an imperial decree of Suleiman the Magnificent, runs through the founding of Şirket-i Hayriye in 1851 and the first scheduled steamer crossings in 1853, the boatmen's guild organised in 1930, and the four-man varka rowing boats that still carried Istanbul across the strait in the 1950s. The modern company was incorporated in 2002 by forty partners, after a first corporate step in 1997.

What it runs in Istanbul

Commuter lines Üsküdar–Beşiktaş, Üsküdar–Kabataş and Beşiktaş–Kadıköy; boats to the Princes' Islands (Heybeliada and Büyükada); a Yalova–Islands service; and Bosphorus, sunset, dinner and Turkish-night cruises. Its piers are Üsküdar, Beşiktaş, Kabataş, Eminönü, Bebek, Harem, Yalova, the dedicated Kabataş cruise pier — and Bodrum.

And a Bodrum pier for the Dodecanese

The company's international arm sails from Bodrum to three Greek islands: Kos, Kalymnos and Leros. On the Kos crossing its boats are the Dedetaş-2 and the Gönül, sailing from Bodrum Kale Port and, on some days, from Turgutreis D-Marin; the passage takes about half an hour and an adult single is €25 (€35 same-day return, €40 open return). The Bodrum office is at Barış Meydanı 26, in the bazaar quarter a few doors from the town's other Greek-island operator.

How the group is put together

Three entities sit under Dentur Avrasya Grup: a maritime transport cooperative (S.S. Avrasya Deniz ve Turizm Motorlu Taşıyıcılar Kooperatifi), the shipping and tourism company itself, and a separate shipping agency and customs arm. Alongside passenger transport it runs a travel agency, ship agency and customs brokerage, staff shuttle services and onboard advertising. The fleet is classified internally into A-Plus, A and B classes, double-ended vessels, and a separate group of ships licensed for international sailings.

Two timetables that behave differently

The Istanbul boats run to fixed urban schedules and the company posts service notices for public holidays and weekend extras. The Aegean crossings are seasonal international sailings with passport control at both ends, and most are marked no car — vehicle space has to be arranged by phone rather than booked online.
