About Chuen Kee Ferry
Chuen Kee Ferry (全記渡) is the family firm behind the green-and-white boats that connect Aberdeen, on the south side of Hong Kong Island, with Lamma Island. Its story begins in the 1950s, when founder Wu Chuen bought a sailing junk to carry Lamma villagers to Aberdeen; the company was formally incorporated in 1985 and modernised its fleet from fishing-boat kaito to double-deckers and, later, high-speed vessels.
Aberdeen to Sok Kwu Wan, via Mo Tat
Chuen Kee runs the Aberdeen ↔ Sok Kwu Wan service, calling at Mo Tat Wan on the way — a roughly 35-minute crossing with around eleven sailings a day each way, from early morning until about 22:40. Sok Kwu Wan is Lamma's seafood-restaurant bay and the eastern end of the Lamma Family Trail, so the boat is popular with walkers pairing it with the Central–Yung Shue Wan ferries for a one-way hike across the island.
